The Job Board is where Makers can post jobs to get (almost) anything made. Fabbers then bid on the opportunity to make the item and win the sale. It's your opportunity to collaborate with a Fabber to get exactly what you want.
You can learn more about how this all works in the questions below, or take a look at these other resources:

Yes! All the Job Board transactions are subject to all of our legal terms.
The Job Board is for (almost) anything. So (almost) anything goes. Of course if you wish someone to help you make your favorite rocket ship or nanobot, then it may be wise to look somewhere else.
All transactions on 100kgarages.com, including the Job Board requests, are in United States Dollars (US$).
Anyone can post a job.
Qualified ShopBot Fabbers can place bids. If you're not currently a qualified Fabber and would like to make custom items for people, check out how to join the 100kgarages community here.

Yes. A Maker can accept as many bids as they like. However, each accepted bid should be regarded as an agreement to purchase the item. Please do not accept bids that you do not intend to purchase. You can request changes to a bid prior to accepting it.
No, your job will remain open to additional bids until you login and cancel it, or it expires. All jobs expire automatically 60 days after being posted.
Login and cancel it here (or let it expire automatically 60 days after being posted).
The Maker and Fabber negotiate the payment terms for a Job Board transaction. The Fabber will include in their bid how they wish to be paid. Some options include full payment upfront, payment by installments (50% as a deposit upfront and 50% when the item is complete), full payment when the item is completed prior to shipping. The Fabber is responsible for sending the Maker an invoice if necessary.
You will need to send them an invoice by email.
You can select a Fabber of your choice here.
Both Maker and Fabber are in email contact to accept, decline or ignore bids and confirm bid acceptances as they see fit. Makers are not obligated to accept bids and Fabbers are not obligated to make items until they confirm a Maker’s acceptance of their bid.
Please contact info@100kgarages.com in this unfortunate event. We'll do our best to help set things right.
The Maker can cancel an accepted bid via email up until the point the Fabber confirms it. So if the Maker does not hear from the Fabber within a reasonable amount of time, the Maker can retract acceptance of the bid.
Please contact info@100kgarages.com to let us know that there is an issue with a job post. We'll review the job post and take action if necessary.
Once you have received your item you will want to help create confidence through transparency by posting a rating and/or review about the Fabber here.
