I bought a CNC mill, put it in my garage, and I am having fun. I have worked for the scientific instrument machine shop at the University of Oregon since 1999, most recently as director, but I have decided to go into business with my grown kids to see if we can make money while having fun and hanging out together. I have decades of experience designing and machining for really unusual custom lab experiments with every material you can imagine and across scales from micron features to drilling rigs.
