CNC routing services on wood and plastic materials have been provided by our company since 2000. Until the beginning of 2014 we provided cutting and carving services to sign companies in Southern Ontario. Since then we have designed and proto-typed many products for ourselves and other companies. In the past year we have taken the plunge into 3D CAD. It has been a struggle evaluating over ten products which were less useful than advertised. We finally took the plunge with the purchase of MOI3D and SketchUp Pro 2014. These are both excellent products. Unfortunately due to the reality of having to redesign an existing product to be bigger, smaller, thicker or thinner it is necessary to use a parametric 3D cad product. We are about an eigth of an inch away from settling on a product which fits our requirements. Here's hoping!
