Kids Making It is a non-profit after-school woodworking program for at risk youth. In 24 years, over 2000 youth have been served and impacted by the technical and life skills they have learned. The Apprenticeship Program is a unique aspect of KMI, providing a continuing pathway for our older transitioning youth to enter college or the workforce. With the use of our laser cutter and CNC router, we are able to to equip our Apprentices with the advanced skills demanded in today’s commercial marketplace, and revenue generated through these orders helps KMI to move toward sustainability.
